Happy Halloween

Halloween is one of my most favorite times of the year. I love dressing up in costumes. I love making holiday appropriate food. And I love handing out candy to all of the adorable little kids that come trick or treating.
This year Sawyer was Hannah Montana and Reed was a motor cross rider. Sawyer convinced Scott that he should dress up too this year. So I bought him a rocker wig and tattoo sleeves. It turned out pretty good. I was a pumpkin. It's a costume I've been looking at for years, but finally decided to get. I am so glad I did.
Meghan and I had fun planning the party this year. We had a small Halloween party, with our families, and enjoyed witches broom sticks, mummy dogs, and pumpkin burgers.

We took the boys trick or treating with Sawyer....she was the only one with a bag though.

Reed enjoyed running up to the door and looking at their jack o lanterns.

Diego loved running around. And Sawyer enjoyed getting all the candy. It's so much fun to take them out and show off our cute kids!
When Sawyer and I went out later that night, I had a blast watching her thank all the people and always had a quick compliment to how great their decorations are or how good their jack o lanterns looked. She's such a good kid.

Halloween Party

Sawyer and I had a blast at the West Salem Mom's Halloween Party.
I was especially excited because I ended up being in town for the event, and since I am a part of the party planning committee, I was able to help plan, prep, setup, etc.
I loved it. Parties are definitely my thing!
Sawyer looked adorable as Hannah Montana (this outfit is getting a lot of use this year).

I only wore one part of my costume this year, my most favorite wig ever...an orange pumpkin wig! Now we know what I'd look like if I really had orange hair.

Swimming Lessons

Reed started swimming lessons and is having a blast! He's in the same class as his good friend Diego, and the two boys are so funny together. Within the first two minutes they were in the pool together, they got into a splashing match. It soaked Meghan and me, but the boys were having so much fun we didn't want to stop them.

Reed does a great job floating on his back, and is starting to try to blow bubbles.

He has the biggest smile on his face while he's swimming. It seems like he's definitely going to be another water baby.

School Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Sawyer went on her first trip, of the year, to the pumpkin patch today. Scott stayed home with Reed, so I could go with her class. Sawyer's friend Bridgette rode in my car out to the pumpkin patch, and is such a sweet little girl.

They had a ton of fun, but I guess how can you not have fun at a pumpkin patch??

They ran through a corn maze..

They pet the animals and saw some huge pumpkins...

They went through a dark hay bale maze...

And they got to pick out a pumpkin...

The pumpkin patch is always a fun trip. I can't believe I was an adult before I ever went to my first one!!

Gymnastics Practice

Sawyer has been enjoying her gymnastics practices. She has improved so much in just two weeks! Scott video taped some of her practice last night. It's been fun to watch her go from knowing nothing, to really getting it!
